A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

From me

Welcome. As you know by now, I'm Santiago, HI8O (former HI8SMX) in Dominican Republic and KB8SM in the United States. Also I'm happy to be a VE for GLAARG.

My QTH is the city of Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic. I've been a licensed ham for 30+ years now (yes, I did started early), but have been on and off several times due to personal priorities (university, family, etc..), but been active non stop again since 2014.

One of the main reasons I came back to radio was the development of Weak Signal Communications modes (JT9, JT65, FT8, FT4 et all), which has worked wonders for me in my limited working conditions. Once active again, I've managed to work with what I got and been getting my feet wet again on SSB.

Currently one of my main projects is remote operating and automation of my station.
